Parametrically amplified radiation in a cavity with an oscillating wall

چکیده
We introduce a time-dependent perturbation method to calculate the number of created particles in a 1D cavity with an oscillating wall of the frequency Ω. This method makes it easy to find the dominant part of the solution which results from the parametric resonance. The maximal number of particles are created at the mode frequency Ω/2. Using the Floquet theory, we discuss the long-time behavior of the particle creation. 03.65.Ca, 42.50.Dv

Combined mixed convection and radiation simulation of inclined lid driven cavity
This paper presents a numerical investigation of the laminar mixed convection flow of a radiating gas in an inclined lid-driven cavity. The fluid is treated as a gray, absorbing, emitting, and scattering medium. The governing differential equations including continuity, momentum and energy are solved numerically by the computational fluid dynamics techniques (CFD) to obtain the velocity and tem...
متن کاملParametrically Amplified Bright-state Polariton of Four- and Six-wave Mixing in an Optical Ring Cavity
We report experimental studies of bright-state polaritons of four-wave mixing (FWM) and six-wave mixing (SWM) signals through cascade nonlinear optical parametric amplification processes in an atom-cavity composite system for the first time. Also, the coexisting cavity transmission modes of parametrically amplified FWM and SWM signals are observed. Finally, electromagnetically induced absorptio...
متن کاملInterference phenomena in the photon production between two oscillating walls
We study the photon production in a 1D cavity whose left and right walls oscillate with the frequency ΩL and ΩR, respectively. For ΩL 6= ΩR, the number of generated photons by the parametric resonance is the sum of the photon numbers produced when the left and the right wall oscillates separately. But for ΩL = ΩR, the interference term proportional to cosφ is found additionally, where φ is the ...
متن کاملElectromagnetic fields in a 3D cavity and in a waveguide with oscillating walls
We consider classical and quantum electromagnetic fields in a threedimensional (3D) cavity and in a waveguide with oscillating boundaries of the frequency Ω. The photons created by the parametric resonance are distributed in the wave number space around Ω/2 along the axis of the oscillation. When classical waves propagate along the waveguide in the one direction, we observe the amplification of...
متن کاملAmplification induced by oscillating mass and multiplicative white noise on parametrically amplified regions
We studied the amplification of the solution of a Mathieu-like equation with multiplicative white noise. This equation has a periodic varying mass term. The exponents were calculated numerically by solving the stochastic differential equations by symplectic method. It was shown that the exponent increases with a parameter α in the range of large α, where the value of α is determined by the inte...
